French placed third in the Pac-10s this year after defeating Tim Xendall of Stanford in a major decision before losing to Dan Corpstein of Cal State Bakersfield 7-5. Contributed 45 points for the Mustangs... French placed second at the California Collegiate Wrestling Invitational. Earlier this season, French had an impressive 130-6 win over Oregon State's Clint Wilson. A 1994 graduate of Granite Hills High School, French was a three-time league champion and two-time CIF Champion at 189 lbs.
