He suffered a concussion during the exchange and, unable to continue, was awarded the match on a disqualification, but was also forced to sit out the third place match on Sunday…Resurfaced in the national rankings last week in the No. 8 spot after falling out of the polls for several weeks while rehabilitationg an injury during January…Began the season ranked sixth nationally in the heavyweight division and was eighth in the Dec. 18 poll…Wrestled with an injured knee early in the season, posting an 8-5 record, before electing to have arthroscopic surgery Jan. 6…Returned to the mat against 21st-ranked Purdue Feb. 1 and scored a 5-3 decision against the Boilermakers’ David Pierce, giving the Buckeyes an 18-16 dual victory…Went 7-3 to close the regular season, with his three losses coming against Big Ten nationally-ranked heavyweights, No. 6 Airron Richardson of Michigan , No. 8 Ben Nachtrieb of Indiana and No. 1 Kerry McCoy of Penn State…Placed second at the Oregon Classic in December…During the summer, he won the heavyweight division at the University Freestyle Championships and finished fourth at the Olympic Trials. 1995-96 (Junior): Posted a 33-12 record…Finished seventh at the NCAA Championships, earning All-America status…Was 5-2 at the NCAA’s…Needed to upset Seth Brady of Illinois to become an All-American and pinned him in 1:36…Defeated Pat Wiltanger of Pittsburgh, 2-0, in the seventh-place match, as Nutter rode Wiltanger all two minutes of the second period and scored an escape in the third period…Upset seventh- ranked and third-seeded Airron Richardson of Michigan to place fifth at the Big Ten championships…Tied for first for wins with 33…Was seventh at the Michigan Open and sixth at the Las Vegas Invitational . . .
