This match between Jeremy Potvin of Air Force and Ryan Edmundson of Hofstra had a little bit of everything: controversy, injury, near fall, and the usual moves. Air Force took the lead with a takedown and then a near fall that went ou of bounds. Air Force's coach argued the referee's call but to no avail. The wrestlers went back to the center where Hofstra scored on a takedown and an escape. The second period had Potvin scoring 2 escapes and calling and calling a time out to wrap an ankle and Hofstra scoring key backpoints to make the score 7-5 in favor of Air Force after 2. The 3rd period started with Hofstra scoring an escape then calling an injury time out. Potvin sealed the win scoring a takedown with :30 left in the 3rd period.
